Why Alive Organisations?
We are spending vast majority of our awake time in an organisation (between 2/3 and 3/4 of our awaken life) - in a way or another: either work as an employee or entrepreneurial organisation, either a hobby organisation (community) or even the so called “family institution”.
The important question is - what we prefer this structure we are spending almost our time to be - a mechanistic system or an Alive ecosystem?
Here is a summary of the Alive Organisation project together with a brief indication how to navigate this portal:
Focus of Alive Organisations practices
Focus is on business organisations as a container of value creation.
Content created in AliveOrganisations is structured under the following dynamics:
Individual Inner - Unconscious beliefs and growth values of individual with focus on formal or informal leaders in an organisation (with the important note that Democratised Leadership is the new norm)
Individual Behaviour - How employees behave or What is visible - the doing/acting side of individuals or small teams
Organisational Culture - Collective beliefs and growth values inside an organisation (can be starting from a large team, to a line of business, an organisation and even an entire corporation)
Organisational Behaviour - Practices to be potential considered in order to cultivate the Alive culture and also support people inside and outside the organisation to elevate to their next level of Adult Development (aka Vertical Development at scale)
The four areas are interdependent and influence each other. It’s organisation (and leaders of the organisation) choice if the destination is a Mechanistic Organisation or an Alive Organisation.
The structure of the content on this portal covers following aspects:
Source of Knowledge and Practices
I combined the following three sources and experiences in order to get to the published outcome:
Experience - After 20+ years of experience working with enterprise customers, private or public, I had the chance to witness all kinds of organisational and team contexts and how ones succeed, while others were struggling
Learn from Others - My passion (about the inner development, organisational psychology) “pushed“ me to read and listen numerous materials on this matter
Connecting some Dots - Reflective process while combining the previous two dimensions leads to deep insights on how an Alive Organisation can handle to complexity of today’s businesses
The practices presented here were tested by myself and others in different setups and market conditions, with additional learning while applying.
